Exploratory Preschool - Watercolor Butterflies
The Exploratory Preschoolers are patiently waiting for their class caterpillars to turn into butterflies. They've watched their fuzzy friends eat, grow, and eventually build their chrysalises. The preschoolers hand-painted these watercolor butterflies in hopeful anticipation of the day their classroom has real butterflies! This 18x24 piece is framed and matted and includes a guide on the back that identifies the artist of each butterfly.

AM Montessori Preschool - Prayers
"Let the Children Come to Me" - Each preschool student in Mrs. Robinston's morning Montessori class had a black and white, high resolution photograph taken of their little hands in a loving prayer position. The photographs were printed with a matte finish and custom mounted and framed by a parent volunteer. The prayer hands are laid out around the bible verse, "Let the Children Come to Me." Matthew 19:14

Kindergarten - The best ships are friendships!
The best ships are friendships! This whimsical watercolor collage expresses the sweet personalities of our kindergartners. Each student mixed their own colors to create a unique sailboat design. And just as a rising tide lifts all ships, their collective imagination inspired their painting of the surging waves. To complete the piece, the touching words of an Irish tribute to friendship run through the water, lovingly written by the kindergartners themselves.

1st Grade - Leaf Shadow Box

For the First Grade Auction Project we selected the symbol of a tree. Trees have been found to represent physical and spiritual nourishment, transformation, liberation, and union. They are also seen as powerful symbols of growth and resurrection. The leaves, colorfully painted by our first graders, depict hope, renewal, and revival - which we can all relate to with 2020 behind us!

The First Grade Class individually decorated cut out, wooden leaf shapes using colorful, metallic paints with their own creative design. The leaves are attached to a wooden tree silhouette set into a dimensional shadow box. (Dimensions: 26" x 26").

2nd Grade - Wall of Life
"Wall of Life" - This one of a kind, living succulent wall was created by our wonderful Second graders. Each hand built hexagon was specially designed and planted by an individual student. The side of their boxes have also been embellished with their names and some cute, crawling creatures.  This beautiful piece will enhance any space it lives within and is something that the whole family can enjoy. The minimal maintenance is a major bonus, and provides the perfect opportunity to begin educating your little ones on caring for plants, and life in general.  And as time evolves, so will this piece. This piece feels harmonious to the season of light and growth that we have just ushered in. May this image of life brighten your home and your day and provide you with hope for the future days to come.

3rd Grade - Balloon Pop Art
The third grade students did a pop art lesson earlier this year with Mrs Wisen. Using that idea we created an art piece using the same image repeated 16 times.  First the students painted their skyline on wooden tiles,  then they colored in their hot air balloons.  We then matched up each child's balloon with their skyline to create our Andy Warhol inspired Hot Air Balloon "Pop Art".

4th Grade - Ode to Love
"Love is when I hug my parents." "Love is snuggling with my pets." This Ode to Love is inspired by the modern artwork fourth graders created through remote learning, and a reminder of the power of love to carry them through uncertain times. Using color pencils in primary colors, each child composed an unique Piet Mondrian style heart and expressed what love meant to them personally.
